TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) FOR THE IT SPECIALIST ASSISTANT
1.BACKGROUND
Young and Alive Initiative (YAI) is a Tanzanian youth-led non-profit organization based in Mbeya city, founded in 2015 by passionate young professionals and fully registered in 2017 with the registration number 00NGO0009083. Young and Alive have offices in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya. The Young and Alive Initiative approach is using young people’s talents and skills through Innovation, art, and ICT to advocate for youth’s access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights services and information in Tanzania.YAI vision is Society where young people have full access and full choice of Sexual Reproductive Health information and Services and can exercise their rights.
In 2022 YAI has partnered with the grand challenge canada to develop a contraceptive conversation model. This model will involve school and community outreach for provision of sexual and reproductive health(SRH) education, a facebook page where young people can ask sexual and reproductive health questions and get a response, and an online resource to engage and follow up.
YAI is seeking a young, talented and vibrant individual to work with us in UI-UX service designing and software development as an online resource to engage in sexual and reproductive health discussions. This software will be part of the contraceptive conversation model explained above.
2. Deliverables:
a) Supporting development of the Contraceptive conversations facebook page
b) Supporting the development of the contraceptive conversations website
c) Leading facebook users to contraceptive conversations website
3. Qualifications
A young person aged 18-35 years old
Junior IT expert with software development skills and basic IT skills
A minimum of an ordinary diploma in information technology
Ability to work in a team, open minded with good communication skills.

4. Remunerations:
Payments will be negotiated according to the agreed time of work.
