As part of our "Ubongo na Flava 2" project, we recruited 15 volunteers whom are going to be working through the entire implementation of the project. These diverse young people have different background such as students, health care providers, social workers, journalists and researchers. These new volunteers are joining the previous cohort of volunteers to ad power for the upcoming activities.
After recruitment, volunteers attended a 5 days training workshop that was conducted at Paradise Hotel, Mbeya City. The workshop covered topics like Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) concept; Human sexuality concept; Male and female reproductive organs; Family Planning and contraception; Abortion as SRHR; Gender Based Violence and Violence Against Children; Leadership skills and volunteerism; Proposal writing and project management; Advocacy and social accountability.
